You can upgrade to the current version by manually downloading the VMware Remote Console disk image from the VMware Web site.
Verify that all of your virtual machines are shut down and that VMware Remote Console is not running.
1 | Drag the previous version of VMware Remote Console to the trash. VMware Remote Console is located in the Applications folder on your Mac. | ||||
2 | Download VMware Remote Console from the VMware Web site at http://www.vmware.com/go/download-vmrc.
The VMware Remote Console disk image is saved to your default download directory. Filename is VMware-Remote-Console-x.x.x-xxxxxx.dmg, where x.x.x is the application version and xxxxxx is the build number for the download release. | ||||
3 | Double-click VMware-Remote Console-x.x.x-xxxxxx.dmg to mount it. | ||||
4 | Double click on VMware Remote Console or Drag the VMware Remote Console icon onto the Applications folder icon. |
